  • As part of our ongoing fundraising to assist the people of Haiti, the Red Cross has set up an sms donation platform for Astral. Listeners can text the word ASTRAL to shortcode 30333. A donation of $5 will be made to the Canadian Red Cross Haiti Earthquake Relief Appeal. A $5 charge will appear on your cell phone bill. This works across Canada on all networks except Sasktel

  • Save the Children presents Indie Rock Night in support of the Crisis in Haiti.
    Date: Saturday January 30th
    Location: The Den in the U of C.
    Time: Doors open at 9.
    Tickets: $7, on sale Jan 18th to 22nd and at the door.
    Featuring some of Calgary's Best Indie Bands including Fireside Riot, Debra and The Shagbots

  • Hope For Haiti Fundraiser - February 21st/2010, Doors open @ 6pm. Centennial Centre Okotoks, Alberta

    An event to help restore the Republic of Haiti. $20 Tickets at the Centennial Centre in Okotoks, Sobeys Okotoks, and the Okotoks Hair Studio. 5 incredible performers, including fresh new talent Calum Graham and Thank Magnets, plus local legends Darren Johnson, Paul Rumbolt and John Fraser. Government will match all donations for tickets, concession, Raffle (Arm's length of tickets for $20), and Money Jar.

  • The Calgary Drop-In Centre is currently in desperate need of TOWELS. Be a good neighbour and help out those in need! Your donation of towels will be greatly appeciated. Donations can be made directly to the Drop-In Centre at 423-4th Avenue S.E.

  • Little Mutts Rescue:
    Little Mutts Rescue is new in town! Located in Calgary, their rescues are aimed at small dogs under 25 pounds. Since they are very new and strictly volunteer, Little Mutts Rescue desperately needs donations. Crates, dog food, dog bedding, anything that can be spared.
