An extensive double-disc set, The Samson Anthology ties up the New Wave of British Heavy Metal band's career, including strong early material with a pre-Iron Maiden Bruce Dickinson (then known as Bruce Bruce) and one song ("Brand New Day") from the group's then-forthcoming album. Since there is a fair amount of filler scattered throughout here, including a decent amount of post-Dickinson material, newcomers might be better served by picking up the band's two best Dickinson-era records, Head On and Shock Tactics.
