As demonstrated with their sophomore album's Mach-speed cover of "Nights in White Satin," no one makes a song their own quite like The Dickies. Their sixth album, Dogs From The Hare That Bit Us proves this time and time again as they tear through masterfully absurd covers of The Beatles' "There's a Place," Donovan's "Epistle to Dippy," The Knack's "Let Me Out," and five others. Idjit Savant/dogs From The Hare That Bit Us pairs this grouping of remakes with their criminally underrated fifth studio release, Idjit Savant, and tacks on three bonus tracks: a B-side titled "Dead Heat"; "Squaggy Do," (an improvisational reworking of Jethro Tull's "Aqualung"), and yet another silly cover, a live rendition of {"Rockin' in the Free World."} Everything recorded with Triple X Records is included here. Read More
