Gerry Forbes Power Trip #6 - Space Camp
At Space Camp at the Kennedy Space Center in Orlando Florida you'll be expected to learn a lifetime of astronaut training in 4 days. Hold on and strap in as you ride in the 1/6th Gravity Chair, 5 Degrees of Freedom trainer, Manned Maneuvering Unit (backpack that allows astronauts to work unhooked from the Shuttle) and Multi-Axis Trainer (tumble like crazy in an "out of control" spacecraft). Whoa! Next: build a rocket. Yeah, that's right...build a rocket! Then experience a one-hour Space Shuttle mission aboard a simulator with a team of "astronauts". And camp wouldn't be camp without crappy food. You also get to sample freeze-dried space food!Your tuition, meals, housing and graduation ceremony are all part of your experience at Space Camp (5 days/4nights).
