Well it's been awhile since my last update and lots has happened....Jodi and I sat down with Jari and talked about our diet. Ah yes, the diet...the hardest part of this whole thing - eating right! It was actually super helpful and I now know EXACTLY what to eat, how much and and what time of the day. That is just what I needed!! After 4 days on the diet, last week, I lost 6 pounds!!! Apparently some of that is water weight, but STILL! Finally I'm seeing some results which is so motivating! We had a training session with Jari last week as well and it was awesome. What an inspiring and positive woman. It was a really fun class....except for the whole huffing and puffing and thinking I was going to lose my lunch part ;-)

Jari Love herself will now be taking over one of our training sessions each week....because......??? We are still tooooo fat! Haha. Well maybe those weren't the exact words used, but Jodi and I have both lost only about 2 lbs each in 2 weeks and apparently we should be down much more. Yikes. Also, I may have cheated slightly on Superbowl Sunday...had some nachos, some cheese & crackers and then some birthday cake for my brother in law's birthday. Yummy!! In all honesty though, I think I'm not eating ENOUGH calories in a day. I know, I know...sounds weird, but we're supposed to be eating 5 meals at 300 calories each. And if you eat less than that, there's apparently a chance you start to store fat. Boooo...I don't need anymore fat on my gunt, thanks!!

Okay so this week is slightly less painful than last...I could still feel my quads Monday after Friday's workout. Britt sure knows how to make me feel muscles I haven't used in a veeerrrry long time! I'm pretty happy Jodi is back from holidays...it makes it much easier to get my ass to the gym when I have a buddy. And we just compared muffin tops in the bathroom this morning - the consensus? They are shrinking!! Woo!! Off for another boot(y)camp class now. Wish me luck!

I can finally type this blog entry without it hurting my whole body!! Hahahaha... What a week of working out. I thought I was in allllright shape but turns out - not so much! Started off with getting my ass kicked by Britt Monday in a personal training session. Then Tuesday was a bootcamp class with Britt again. And AGAIN she kicked my ass. It literally hurt to type! Hehe. Went for a 5km run Wednesday and then 10km Thursday. Today it's back to the gym for a training session with Allison. I'm actually looking forward to it...feels good to get back in the gym and actually sweat! The eating right thing is actually not as hard as I thought either...I have actually turned on my oven numerous times this week. That NEVER happens! I think my boyfriend is cautiously optimistic that for the first time I might actually cook HIM dinner instead of the other way around ;-)

Day #1....here we go! I've cooked more times in the last 24 hours than I have in the last year. Haha. This whole eating right thing is going to be tough! I was up cooking "protein oatcakes" at 4am this morning before work....cooked some chicken last night for meals today. Whew...I'm exhausted. And I haven't even made it to our first work out yet. Hehe. I think it'll be tough to plan and figure out the calories/carbs/protiens for each meal, but worth it! I'm already 3 meals in and feel like I'm eating more than I usually do...just a helluva lot healthier!
