I am starting a new imitative called Gerry Forbes Hometown Heroes, a grass roots idea to honor those who give back to our fabulous city. Right off the bat a few names come to mind like Tony Spolitini who almost single handedly raised first the idea and then the money for the fabulous Hellard Football Park down In Montgomery used by thousands of kids monthly.

My Mom is and was a combination of both, When she talks everyone listens and if there’s a fight she’s there to break it up. My Mother Noreen, could talk circles around those ladies on The View and she is a heck of a lot more entertaining. I would have to describe my Mom as a cross between Mrs. Brady from the Brady Bunch and Betty White; she is the funniest, nicest woman anyone could ever meet. My fund Gerry’s Secret Wish is always looking for deserving charities to help out and this week Scott Logan and a few of the great guys who are attempting to break the record for The Worlds Longest Hockey Game popped by the show to give us the low down.
These guys will be playing for 254 hours straight to help in the fight against cancer and making a huge donation to The Alberta Children’s Hospital.
Diamond Marshall the little girl that stole the world’s hearts when she met The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge last summer is lending her name, along with all the great work her father has done to this great outing.
