Its that time of year again when we finally get to celebrate the most wonderful people in the world, that being Mothers Day. A day we get the opportunity to once again pause and say thanks for everything you have done for us.
My mother Noreen is now in her mid eighties and although she has lost a step physically she is still as charming, brilliant and funny as she has ever been.

I have been in the media some 38 years now and I have seen just about everything but something I noticed every spring continues on after all these years and I decided to make a spring checklist to prevent more sadness and tragedy.
I mention this every year in hopes that people will take a second to think about this and prevent it.
I remind parents at this time of year to check the kid’s rooms for dressers or beds located near windows and to make sure there is a lock on the windows themselves.
I mentioned it last week and was saddened to pick up the paper and read about the little girl in Douglasdale that climbed up and did exactly what I ask parents to check on, she was playing near the window leaned on it and fell two stories and is now in serious but stable condition.
