Fright Night 2013!!
Happy Halloween to all the boys and ghouls out there. Tonight is the night all the goblins and witches, monsters and spooky gremlins hit the streets.
If you get your trick or treating done early or you are a little older and looking to get the pants scared off there are lots of great attractions you don’t want to miss tonight.
Believe it or not there is a haunted house run by a guy named Munster, I’m not sure if he’s related to Herman Munster but Chuck Munster has been doing this for 14 years, The House On Haunted Heights always has a new adventure every year and tonight its in the world of LV68.
This is a scary event that will make visitors wish the aliens had never landed after what they put you through, it’s a very scary walk through with lights and sounds blasting you in the dark along with pneumatic props that chase you, they even have a hearse on sight to add to the creepy show.
All the money raised her goes to Oops-a Dazy Rescue Society that rescues animals. It’s located at 68 Douglas Glen Heights SE from 630 till just after 9pm.
Also helping the same charity is Haunted Calgary at The CarnieVille Haunt, its in the northwest at 222 Rocky Ridge Bay from 6pm till 10 pm and has been packed over the last week.
This is a self-guided dark attraction with over the top spooky special effects, monsters that pop out everywhere and creepy clowns and contortionists, they have even added fore eaters and glass walkers as well.
I went to this last year and it was fabulous, as a matter of fact this has been running for 25 years so they really know what they are doing.
If you live in the northwest they also have a low scare area for little ones, admission if free but a $10 dollar donation for Oops-a-Dazy or non-perishable food items for The Calgary Interfaith Food Bank would be appreciated.
Then there is the grand daddy of them all Screamfest down at Stampede park, It runs tonight and thru till Saturday, this is Canada’s biggest theme park and is not recommended for small children, this is the real deal, terrifying and scary and licensed.
If you are of one of the brave ones check it out, live freak shows and zombie paintball are there as well.
It’s located at Stampede Park by the Grandstand Building just follow the Zombie. Its open from sundown till midnight and yes they do warn you to bring extra underwear.
