I am afraid the Premiers new nickname is going to become Alison 'In The Red' Ford.  Not a cheerful time in the province's capital is it?

The return to the legislature was like a dysfunctional family fighting over whose taking the blames for robbing the cookie jar and like a trip to the shark tank to watch the opposition parties set to attack.  Cue the Jaws theme.

How could this have all gone so wrong from the election run, happy teachers, somewhat happy doctors and now nobody is happy but Raj Sherman, Brian Mason and Danielle Smith.  It's like a feeding frenzy.

Its so crazy that opposition parties had their response to the budget printed before they even received it.  Now that progressive but certainly not Conservative.

The Tories are so low in the polls they are just edging out head colds and traffic jams.  If they were on the T.V. show Millionaire they wouldn’t have a friend to call.

Wildrose Leader Danielle smith knows that if there was an election today Alison would be packing her bags.  Smith’s quote “Trust is the sacred foundation of everything politicians do” is laughable but she is right that redfords seat would be gone if we went to the polls today.

Alison responded with “These are challenging times and I must make the choices that reflect their priorities”.  Ok, stop spending! And don’t have a retired Enron accountant predict oil prices.  Those are my priorities.

The kicker was when the head of the Canadian taxpayers Federation got the boot from the lock-up which, I might add, was quickly reversed when somebody came to their senses.  Talk about scared and reactive.  This is an abysmal way to run the show.

Trust comes from promising something you know is achievable and then delivering that, not promising to get a checkmark on a ballot.

When you chose power over integrity you have yourself a huge mess.

When I saw the finance minister decide to wear his old shoes instead of buying new ones to deliver the budget I was going to send him some scuba flippers to make it easier to tread water as the sharks circle.

I can understand why Premier Redford won’t answer questions and usually just shrugs and moves on.  There isn’t much to say anymore.

The teachers are now so stressed that they have to go visit the doctors.  At least they will have something to talk about because they are in the same boat.  Cue Jaws theme as we keep bailing.
