Well here we are smack dab in the middle of January and according to the experts, that being doctors, this is the most depressing week of the year.
A recent article in the daily mail said that life will be sunshine lollipops and rainbows if you can just ignore the seasonal adjustment disorder and hang onto Sunday.
The reason they say this is because the holiday glow is over, bills from Christmas start to appear and by now you have probably flopped on all your New years resolutions and it’s looking a lot like last year.
The best thing you can do is get outside when its sunny, try skating, walking the dog or heading to the mountains so you have something to look forward too.
They say that eating any type of fruit will also help you beat the blues. I don’t know what that’s all about but I am going to give it a shot.
Other reasons to cheer up - You aren’t Lance Armstrong or the Premier of Alberta & your favorite hockey team is on the way back.
Another reason to be happy is Family Day is not far away followed by March break, and don’t forget the romance of Valentines Day and if all else fails there is the annual Slosh fest St Patrick’s Day.
Another note that I stumbled upon this week with everyone having the flu or cold, 90% of coughs are viral not a bacteria so no matter what you do they will probably last 18 days.
Most will go away on their own if you aren’t a fan of antibiotics like myself, if not go see your doctor.
And a word from my doctor is keep from touching your face. The average person does that three times an hour and if you can avoid it you won't have such a great chance of infecting yourself. You should also wash your hands for no less than 20 seconds, all this great stuff I had no idea about.
See, now all you have to do is make it to Sunday and you will be golden.
