I am into my second venture in restaurants with Stonehill Restaurant and Tavern up at Beddington and Harvest Hills a fabulous spot by the way if you fancy a great Prime Rib and steaks.

I was fortunate enough to have Forbes Libations and Nosh for 7 years and then we sold the old spot to Original Joes, which is doing a great business at the same spot just off Northland Drive.

We have taken time with Stonehill to get to know the area and hit a homerun with an incredible steakhouse with all prices under $30.00 so families in the area can have a fine dining spot with affordable fare.

Thanks to everyone who has supported our endeavor, my favorite feature is our three story wine Tower, stocked with great deals, which we get from Willow Park Wine and Spirits and our expert Wayne Henuset.

This is my favorite time of year because our CEO Lance Hurtubise hits the annual charity wine auction and comes back with some gems.

The first auction was way back in 1994 and they formed the Vintage Fund and endowment fund that helps with health care, seniors needs and education funding, over 3 million has already been allotted to local agencies here in Calgary.

This year’s event goes Saturday at the Willow Park Location on Bonaventure Drive S.E. and promises to be the best night yet.

Your identity remains a mystery as Venetian masks are handed out and creations from local chefs are paired with wines from around the world.

Great restaurants like Redwater Rustic Grille Rush and Vintage Chophouse provide a culinary extravaganza you wont soon forget.

Great wines from Benzinger, Stags Leap, Caymus and JLohr are only a few of the many up for offering.

Après auction treats include Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Chateau Palmer, Ornellaia and Sassicaia.
