Dear Dana White,

It was with unmatched joy I heard the UFC was coming to Calgary for a huge Match July 21^st, first of all the name John Bones Jones was being tossed around as a probable fighter, unreal good news, It reminded me of when I was a kid and they announced Ali was going to fight Frazier.

I ran right out and got my tickets and joined blogs with other big fight fans saying this will be a once in a lifetime event we have to be at.

Then came the news that put the first crack in the crystal ball, he was in fact not going to be able to come, still not sure whether that’s scheduling or really an injury, but I pressed on with the optimism it would still be a good card.

We spring forward to last weekend and the fertilizer has hit the ventilator, at last count I think we have lost 8 fighters originally scheduled to be on the card.

The main event is Urijah Faber The California Kid fighting Barao really? I  must be honest Dana just not interested. He was a good WEC fighter but hasn’t really proven himself in the MMA. \

For 400 bucks times two I think we deserve more than we are getting, I’m sure great fighters but not exactly household names.

The city of Calgary and fight fans deserve and expect more, let’s hope something changes in the next week or those open arms we swung out to welcome you might be closed next time you come knocking.
