Matt Mays is coming back to town. Wednesday night he's at Flames Central! He always puts on a great show and it's also a great venue to see a rock concert. Check out this interview and some footage from soundcheck last time Matt was in town in the fall.

Here’s a new band from the left coast called the British Columbians. They’re some cool guys with some cool tunes and have a couple of albums already under their belt. They’ve also been through town a few times and have even played a gig at Tubby Dog! I tell ya, you ain’t never seen a band play until you’ve seen them play at Tubby Dog. It’s equal parts awesome and ridiculous at the same time. It's also a licenced establishment, which means a whole lot of fun! The BCers recently stopped in for a visit to the Gateway in December and I popped by with my camera before the show. We were planning to have them perform a couple of acoustic songs. So I get back from my winter break to the great news that Rival Sons are coming to town! These guys have been my favourite new rock band since I heard “Pressure and Time”, over a year and a half ago. When I started to look into the band and what they were doing, I realized I had missed my chance to see them in Canada and they were in Europe for the rest of the year. Then in January (2012), I heard they were swinging through Canada for a short tour before heading into the studio to record their next album. They were only doing a few shows though and most of those were in Ontario. However, the last show was in Winnipeg. I had a chance to visit with Tyler and Dave from Theory Of A Deadman before their show at the Jubilee Auditorium the other night. The Southern Jubilee Auditorium that is, not to be confused with the Northern. Check the video for details and see what being on stage is really like, kinda.

Wide Mouth Mason stopped by for a little chat before their show at the Gateway on October 13th. Then they busted out the guitars and played a song. This wasn't heard on-air either, only here.....and on youtube.

Billy Talent released their 4th album “Dead Silence” on September 11th. They were in town that day, doing interviews to promote the new disc. I went downtown to get the low down from Ian D’Sa on the new album and stuff.
