Rev-Ola's
Hearts and Flowers Collection -- originally released on Edsel in 1995 -- presents both of the Los Angeles-based country rock group's albums (
Now Is the Time for Hearts and Flowers and
Of Horses, Kids and Forgotten Women) on one disc. The gentle, folksy and occasionally psychedelic sounds that emanated from the trio would eventually find their way onto works by
the Flying Burrito Brothers,
Linda Ronstadt and
the Eagles. Collectors will want to check out Collectors' Choice Music's
Complete Hearts and Flowers, which augments the original 22 tracks with an entire disc of B-sides that are well worth the extra couple of dollars.
