I recently took a little trip to Europe in August. It was a great time all around and among the many highlights was seeing the band Spit. They’re from Amsterdam and we caught them at the Waterhole on our Friday night in the city.

During one of their breaks, I ran into the singer Arjen at the bar. Being the good Canadian, I bought the band a round of drinks. He was only too happy to accept and take the tray of brews to the boys. A couple of songs in, Arjen gave me a shout out on stage! I caught most of it on video, but missed the first part. He started by saying, “I don’t always drink beer, but then I met Russ” ha ha
