Driving a Beamer. AWESOME!
First off, I'll start by saying this. I LOVE my truck. I can take that thing almost anywhere. Fishing, camping, lumberyard, jumping rivers...you get the idea.
On Monday I got a call from Lief at Calgary BMW asking if I'd like to take a new BMW for a test drive. I do love my truck, but I ain't no fool! I went to meet with Lief and Neill at the dealership. Super nice guys...I think...I was too busy drooling over the unreal vehicles in the showroom!
They ended up giving me a BMW 328i to tool around in for a few days, and let me tell you, this is a great car. 240 horses to get you in and out of traffic like you would not believe. You know those guys who cut you off on Deerfoot? You can get around them with no problem whatsoever! Driving this car is like owning an Anti-Stress device. One step on the gas and all your troubles disappear, kinda like all of Steve Bernier's friends in New Jersey.
It has this little 'Sport' button that you push down when you want to take some turns. It has been my experience that those little 'Sport' buttons do nothing but make you think that the car has made adjustments for that winding road. This is the only 'Sport' button that I have ever noticed working. Superior engine response time, quicker shifting through the gears and noticeably tighter handling.
So. Much. Fun. If they didn't track the car with GPS, I may already be in Mexico. On second thought...come and get me!!!
Buenos Tardes, Muchachos!
